Beard-mustache transplantation

Beard and moustache have an important place in men’s psychology as it is one of  the most important factors of aesthetic appearance and lifestyle. There are many  factors that influence the frequency and quality of beards. At the beginning of it,  hormonal balances start from the genetic structure.

Due to the absence of testosterone in the male hormone, there is sparse beard and loss of beard. The other condition that arises from the genetic structure but is not  related to hormones is that there is no beard or not enough beard. Also, beards can be lost due to other reasons such as skin diseases, medication, injuries and burns.  For all these reasons, spills in the beard can have lasting effects while the roots of  the beard are completely damaged and lost, leaving no beard in these areas.  Nowadays, with the advancement of technology and methods of hair development  in medicine, it is easy to perform hair transplantation in the same way. Beard and  moustache transplantation should be done in men after the age of 20 to 22 years  when the hormones reach the required level.

The hair follicles should first be taken from the beard area as much as possible,  because the selected grafts contain single hair roots and hair roots taken from this  area are always in this capacity, the beard area is preferred.

Here, grafts are selected from the neck, cheekbones and unnecessary hair under  the chin.If there are insufficient hair follicles in the beard area, the nape of the neck, i.e. the neck, is considered as the donor area because it has the best grafting  qualities and the individual hair roots can be carefully collected. The natural appearance may not be fully achieved if more than one root is used.  Again, our experts show the necessary sensitivity. Hair roots can also be taken from other parts of the body such as the breast and transplanted. However, as with hair  transplantation, there may be inconsistencies in moustache and beard  transplantation, which we do not recommend.

If the person is suitable for surgery after the necessary tests, the grafts collected individually from the donor area, after local anaesthesia, are transplanted one by one by determining the correct angles and directions , using the Fue or Choi / DHI method.
For the incisions at the openings, 0.6-0.8 mm tips are used and therefore no wounds occur. Due to the very small holes that are opened, blood clots and redness form in these areas and are no longer visible within a week.
The transplantation of beard and moustache takes 4-6 hours depending on the number of hair roots. For people who do not have a beard at all, a transplant of 1000-3000 hair roots is sufficient. Immediately after the operation, the person can return to their normal daily activities. However, the beard area should not be washed for a day or two after the transplant.

During the healing process of the red crusts formed by the small holes, the beards should not be cut.
In addition, chemicals such as cologne, perfume and shaving lotion should not be used.
As with hair transplantation, shock loss occurs within 2 weeks after beard transplantation.
After this temporary overflow phase, the beards will have grown back completely and look natural after 4 to 8 months.
